The Tsars of the first Bulgarian Empire in Ochrida

This family started with two men who are believed to have been brothers and somehow related to the family of Khan Krum:

• A1. Samuel, who became Tsar of the Bulgarians (997-1014), and moved the capital to Ochrida, he conquered Diocleia, Trebinje and Zahumlje, and made Bosnia and Raska (Serbia) vassals of Bulgaria, +Prilep 1014; m.ca 970 Agathe, dau.of Joannes Chryselios, Lord of Durazzo
  • B1. Gavriil Radomir, Tsar of the Bulgarians (1014-15), *ca 970, +1015; 1m: ca 973 (repudiated) N, a dau.of Pr Geza of Hungary; 2m: 988 Irene N (+murdered 1015)
    • C1. Peter Deljan, proclaimed himself Tsar 1040, *988, +in Byzantine imprisonment ca 1041
    • C2. a daughter, m.before 1015 Stefan Dobroslaw, Knez of Diocleia
  • B2. Miroslawa; m.ca 998 Asot Taronites
